The first step to get into housing in FFXIV is to go to a housing district. A housing district is a place with different Wards and player owned plots.

There are many reasons to go to a housing district, buying a house, visiting a friend, checking other designer houses, attending to player events, etc. I'll show you how to get into each housing district!

I'll focus on giving you all NPC locations without taking much of your time! You can click on the coordinates on this article to view a map.

How to go to Goblet?

Goblet is the housing district of Ul'dah. It's known for its mountain landscapes, pool area, and stone buildings.

To unlock direct teleport to the Goblet, you need to complete the quest "Where the Heart Is (The Goblet)".

You can start the quest by talking to Immer at Western Thanalan (x 26, y 24)

All of these quests are basically the same, you'll start it at an NPC, and it will guide you to the housing district.

In the housing district you'll speak to an NPC, then go back to the starting NPC, in this case Immer.

After that, the residential district teleport will be available at the main aetheryte in Ul'dah.

How to go to Lavender Beds?

Lavender Beds is the housing district of Gridania. You'll recognize it by the forest areas, and nature landscape.

You can unlock it by finishing "Where the Heart Is (The Lavender Beds)".

Start the quest by talking to Margeria at Central Shroud (x 21.7, y 21.9). The quest will take you to Lavender Beds and unlock the quick teleport.

How to go to Mist?

Mist is the housing district of Limsa Lominsa. Mist is remembered by its casual beach, light blue ocean, and luxury town appearance.

You can go to Mist by completing "Where the Heart Is (Mist)". You can start the quest by talking to Ahctkoen at Lower La Noscea (x 31.6, y 20.2).

How to go to Empyreum?

Empyreum is the housing district of Foundation, from the Heavensward expansion. You can recognize it by the dark fantasy landscape, with snow and castles.

To unlock the Empyreum you can teleport to The Foundation, and complete the quest "Ascending to Empyreum".

You can start the quest at Gondelimbaud - Foundation (x 9.9, y 11.8).

How to go to Shirogane?

Shirogane is the housing district of Kugane. Shirogane is known for its beach, beautiful red sunset, and oriental style.

Shirogane can be unlocked by completing the quest "I Dream of Shirogane" by talking to Tsurubami at Kugane (x 12.0, y 9.9).

How to quickly teleport to housing districts

After you finish one or more of the quests above, you can go to their respective main cities, for example Ul'dah, and select Residential District Aethernet on the main aetheryte.

To go to Mist, teleport to Limsa Lominsa, click on the main aetheryte, and pick residential district aethernet, from there you can teleport to a specific ward.

Do the same for all other cities.

And look for the blue quest on your minimap with the name being "Where the Heart Is" or "I Dream of Shirogane" / "Ascending to Empyreum".

FAQ

• •Can my friend visit my house without the quests above?

The easiest way for a friend to visit you, is to go to their friend list, right-click your name, and select Estate Teleportation. From there they can teleport to your house.

Note: you need a mini-aetheryte if your estate is a house (not an apartment) and you must enable guest access on your estate settings.

• •Can I visit housing districts without finishing the blue quest?

For some of them, it is possible! But it follows the same path as the blue quest, so I didn't mention that to avoid confusion.
